I've honestly never had a set career I've always wanted to do. I'd just make up something whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up, I'd say whatever would appease whichever teacher was asking, and now I have to stuff making stuff up. Although, first female president of the US is a great answer when you're ten, it's just not one of my apsirations right now... haha.

HAHAHAHA YOU’LL HAVE AN IDEA SOON! you still have time really! :D

…maybe you’ll experience somewhere between now and your graduation day and you’ll have it! :D

I graduate next June. I feel like a procrastinator when it comes to college. Some of my friends have had their schools picked out since they were twelve!

WOAH! that’s what you call a planned out future… hahahaha but ever since i wanted to be an artist tho…

I'll totez consider it! But frankly, my lack of Tagalog language skills is pretty appalling. The schools I've been really interested in are all in the western US though- and randomly across the country in states like Pennysylvania, NY, and Rhode Island.

HAHAHAHA i totes understand. Hmmm tuition pretty high tho? When will you graduate btw?

My uncles have been talking to me about University of Santo Tomas! Not in depth, really, but they've definitely told me to check it out. Right now, I'm just figuring out which college I'm going to, and how I'm going to pay for it. Maybe I'll happen to save a wealth philanthropist from getting hit by a bus and they'll pay for my tuition as a token of their gratitude.

HAHAHAHAHAHA VIVA SANTO TOMAS! VAMOS TIGRES EL KAMPION!

UNIVERSITY SPIRIT FOR YOU!  400 years of awesomeness man! hahahaha we’re the 3rd best here ;) you should totes go here!!!! you’ll love it! so much awesomeness happening in one year every year!

hahahahaha great idea! 8D hope you think about it!

I don't really know what I'm going to do at college. I'm looking at something with Sociology and the study of how humans interact. I've looked into urban planning & development too, which is planning and transportation planning to improve the built, economic and social aspects of a community. I want to learn the basics about business, management, and marketing too. And I've been looking at teaching. I was thinking about pharmacology, but I hate school, and medical science makes me sleepy. Ultimately, I want to find a career in something that I enjoy, that will put a roof over my head, food on my table, clothes on my back, and the knowledge I acquired to good use. I'm seventeen for crap's sake. It feels like just yesterday I was worrying about getting my reading log signed by mom so I could go to recess. What about you?

Oh i’m in college already. hahaha I’m studying in the philippines. In the University of Santo Tomas Fine Arts major in Advertising. It’s marketing and design all together and I’m in my second year, and I’m 17 as well :)

Don’t worry too much just do what you think is best for you and what makes you happy. But for the mean time since you don’t know yet…you’ll find out soon. still two years for you correct? You’ll have time to think about it :D

littleeeone:

I’m probably never going to forget last night, they had soo much energy and I honestly couldn’t believe I was hearing them live. Even though Victoria and I had to endure watching Villagers (longest slowest set of my life) before Ra Ra Riot played, it was really worth it. I sang along to every song…

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.” —

Killer words. Worth printing out.
